Job Search Packages are all designed to fit around your time schedule – sessions are available in the evenings and at weekends.
Job Search Packages
My Job Search Packages are designed to provide all the right tools you need to succeed in your job search. I know how to plan, organize and execute a proactive strategy that will spring your job and career search efforts into action, and get the results you want FAST!
Job Search Packages focus on a number of topics listed below. Within the Job Search Package, I will provide you with a continued support and advice over an extended period of time, normally 4-to max. 6 weeks. Job Search Packages are completely flexible and are tailored to your own requirements, as I will assess and evaluate your particular needs before you start a programme.
You will be guided through a series of steps designed to:
- Enhance confidence and promote growth
- Facilitate career planning to determine/confirm career choice
- Develop action plans and strategies to achieve the desired results
You can choose between the STANDARD or PREMIER Job Search Packages which cover:
- Job Search Strategy: I assess and evaluate your current strategy and produce a detailed action plan to enable you to find a new job as quickly as possible. If you haven’t started looking for a job then I can help you create an action plan from scratch that will reduce the time it takes you to find a new job.I will explain the various methods that you can use to find a job in today’s modern job market, the tips and secrets that will get you interviews just that bit quicker and which job sites to use and how to identify which jobs to apply for from the 100′s on offer.I then teach you how to make recruiters remember you, so that they give you a call when a suitable vacancy arises. I can also teach you how to handle recruitment consultants and get the best out of them.
- Job Interview Preparation: How to utilize knowledge, preparation and rapport to secure the right position with the best opportunity to achieve your full potential.
- CV & Cover Letter Package: I will advise you on tailoring your CV and cover letter to attract the attention of both employers and recruitment consultants, so that you get those all-important job interviews. Apart from a customized CV and a cover letter, I will help you with interview follow-up thank you letter.
- A mock interview: I can give you a mock interview for a specific job or give you a mock interview based on the type of job that you will be applying for. You will be taken through a series of probing questions just as a real interviewer would, so that I am able to test your interview technique and assess your strengths & weaknesses accurately. I will then help you to prepare good answers to the tough questions that you will face.
- Networking Strategies: How to obtain insider knowledge of vacancies or upcoming positions to find a new or better job.
- Salary Negotiation Techniques: How to set the stage at the bargaining table for win-win negotiations where there are no losers. I will teach you how to negotiate the various elements of your salary package, even if you’re not an experienced negotiator. You will be tutored in answering questions and together we will compose answers based on your own situation. I will advice on how to evaluate a job offer, negotiate salary and benefits, and make a counter offer if you want to get a higher salary when you receive a job offer from an employer.
- Confidence building:You might have to give a presentation, go for a job interview, or perhaps have a difficult conversation with someone. If you’re dreading it, we will work on ways for you to build your self-confidence and self-esteem.
What is included
STANDARD JOB SEARCH PACKAGE
The STANDARD Job Search Package includes over 5 hours of my time spread over 4-6 weeks.
You typically have one consultation each week, but this can be varied as required. The length of the consultations can also be varied depending on what is covered; these can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes depending on the topics to be covered during the consultation. A typical 4-week programme is broken down into:
- Week 1: An initial telephone consultation to assess and evaluate your needs, discuss any problems that you want to overcome. This initial phone call ensures that you maximise our time together and takes about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Week 2 to 4: Three further telephone consultations of 45-60 minutes each, usually 1 consultation per week. During each consultation we will go over the specific topic/s or problems that we agreed you would cover.
- Week 2 to 4: After each telephone consultation I will spend about 15 minutes creating an action plan, clearly setting out the next steps that you need to take to be successful.
- In addition, I will spend approximately 30 minutes each week preparing for the consultation with you, which includes researching and preparing for the topics that you want to cover and tailoring the content to meet your specific needs.
PREMIER JOB SEARCH PACKAGE
The Premier 4-Week Job Search Programme includes 8 hours of my time spread over 4-6 weeks.
The length of the consultations and the frequency of the consultations can be varied as required. A typical 4-week programme is broken down into:
- Week 1: An initial telephone consultation with myself, as described above in the Standard 4-Week Job Search Programme.
- Week 2 to 4: Five further telephone consultations of 45-60 minutes each, spread over week 2 to 4. In each consultation I will go over the specific topic/s or problems that you agreed you would cover. You get extra 2 consultations with the Premier 4-Week Job Search Programme compared to the Standard 4-Week Job Search Programme.
- Week 2 to 4: After each telephone consultation I will spend about 15 minutes creating an action plan / report for you, clearly setting out the next steps that you need to take to be successful.
- In addition, I will spend approximately 30-45 minutes each week preparing for the consultations with you, which includes researching and preparing for the topics that you want to cover and tailoring the content to meet your specific needs.

Good news from one of my interviews that I did on Tuesday. This interview was confirmed to me on Monday (I think I did not mention it to you over the weekend). Well, they offered me a contract initially to start with because I appeared to be very shy to them… so they will give me one month's trial to see how I get on with the job. I approached Margaret because I have had several job interviews recently and felt that I was not coming across positively enough and that I was not 'selling' my skills and experience effectively to employers.
